Welcome to the Logical Increments Computer Monitor Guide.
The two charts on this page are works in progress. Some data may be missing, and that is typically marked with a (???)

A computer monitor (a.k.a computer screen) is the most important PC peripheral when it comes to personal use. Without a screen, a normal person cannot get much work done on a PC, and gaming can get a bit dull. For a very long time, getting a good screen was a very expensive affair, but prices have fallen dramatically since 2015. These days, you can get a decent quality 1080p monitor for quite cheap, and 1440p and 4K screen prices are falling as well. Even gaming screens (with lower lag and faster response rates) have becomes much more affordable than before.

Below are two monitor guides. The guide for normal screens focuses on screens that can be used for everyday activities, such as using the internet, normal gaming, watching movies, or doing work. The gaming screen guide further down is meant for hardcore gamers: People with powerful gaming setups who want the best gaming experience possible, and professional gamers who need the absolute best gaming gear. Be sure to check both of them out!

For other PC peripherals, be sure to check the following guides:

  1. Mouse: A wide assortment of mice, from $10 to $80.
  2. Keyboard: From very cheap $10 models, and all the way to $200+.
